Emma is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and is registered and endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist and an Educational and Developmental Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Psychology Board of Australia.

Emma received her training from the University of Sydney, the University of Western Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital. She has worked in university clinics, schools, hospital departments, private homes, NGO's and in child and adolescent mental health.

Emma brings a warm and genuine approach to consultations. She endeavours to treat every person with respect and to work collaboratively, flexibly and without judgment.

Treatments may include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Skills Training, Exposure/Response Prevention and Supportive Counselling. Emma works within a systemic framework with a strong attachment focus.

Emma is a registered Healthcare Provider with Medicare and private health funds.

No referral necessary. Talk to your GP about a Mental Health Care Plan if you wish to receive rebates from Medicare.

Telehealth

At Emma Gallagher Psychology Services, consultations are conducted via Telehealth, meaning your session will be held over a video connection. You will receive a link via sms or email prior to your appointment time and there is no need to download any apps or special software. All you need is a device with a webcam, a reliable internet connection and a quiet, private space in which to talk.
